Here are some helpful sites to check out:

The Parent's Guide to K-12 Success - This is a great site for parents wanting to identify what matters most, research and compare schools, and once they are in school track their progress. There are also opportunities to comment on schools so think of others and be willing to share your positive experiences and lessons learned.

This site offers some comparable statistics on public schools. This is a Standard and Poor's site so it is pretty good with basic statistics.

The National Association for Early Childhood Education's Website. This organization promotes excellence in early childhood education and provides an accreditation program for child care, preschool, and kindergarten programs. There is a section for families, found through a link on their home page.

Parents for Public Schools' Website - a national organization of community-based chapters working to strengthen public schools through broad-based enrollment.
